Berry Red Cape

We had gone to take photos for Ben while we were in London and I spotted this gorgeous ivy wall. Ophelia and I decided to take some photos against it and they just might be my favourite photos of the two of us! That frequently happens with spur of the moment snaps. It also helped that Ophelia was in a good mood!

This berry red cape has been a staple in my wardrobe for a number of years now. I’ve really pulled back on buying lots of new things. Instead, reworking items I have to make them work for me now. This red cape being exactly one of those items. Originally from Reiss, they no longer sell it, but it’s perfect for this time of year and doubles up as a blanket if it gets a little chilly! A fairly recent addition for me are hairbands. Having not had time to get a haircut recently, my hair is not looking it’s best. It’s super long and a little lifeless, so a hairband popped in to keep it back is the easiest way to keep it looking polished and ‘styled’!

I’m always incredibly minimal with jewellery, so these subtle gold and faux pearl earrings are the perfect little ‘statement’ I need to frame my face. Having only recently started wearing lipstick again with Ophelia, I constantly have to remind myself not to kiss her. So that I don’t smother her in red!

My trusty Ridley jeans and these black over the knee boots are a constant staple in my A/W wardrobe. So much so, that I have these jeans in every colour!

Ophelia’s outfit was a very kind present from my lovely friend Angie. It’s a gorgeous Little White Company dress that looks so sweet on her. A pink bow in the hair and white tights finish off her look.

Autumn creates the most beautiful light and you can’t beat a seasonal colour changing backdrop for that extra pop of colour. The tones really do make it one of the prettiest seasons!
