This Bejewelled look with the Puff sleeved top and satin skirt got so much attention when I posted it on Instagram, after our summer staycation. As one of my favourite outfits of the year, I thought it deserved a little attention on here too. I really love a big shoulder and have quite a narrow frame, so it really draws definition between my shoulders, waist and hips. This Zara top is an oldie, but one that is going to be a firm favourite in my wardrobe for quite some time to come. It’s slightly cropped, so tucks perfectly into anything high waisted, without showing annoying lines underneath. The cut on it is so elegant. A low round neck, shows off the décolletage, while the three-quarter length sleeves are a little more conservative.
Satin skirts feel so luxurious to me and are great for all times of year. Adding a bejewelled belt elevates the whole look. Perfect for the middle of summer or equally the depths of winter. I’ve paired the look with some wedges, but it would look fabulous with a pair of heels for a more wintery feel.
Hairbands are this year’s discovery for me. After purchasing my first back at the start of the year, I’ve been wearing them ever since. ESPECIALLY on bad hair days, where nothing is working and I want my hair off my face. I can’t believe I didn’t discover them sooner. They are the simplest way to look take an outfit up a notch and add a chic touch.
I’m not a big jewellery wearer, always preferring to opt for a pair of statement earrings and costume rings as I tend to find that necklaces or bracelets cut me off in unflattering places. These earrings are more of a subtle statement, than dramatic. I didn’t think I needed much to frame my face as the look was worn as more of a day-time look. The belt is so detailed, Bejewelled and fabulous though. Again, an old Zara purchase that I’ll continue to get so much wear out of. Especially in the festive seasons!
Speaking of festive, I’m really looking forward to re-creating this look with a wintery-twist this year!
