Ben and I were back up to London this week. So on Saturday morning, we decided to pop to Soutine for an Oat Milk Hot Chocolate. The focus of this post isn’t really the hot chocolate though, but the incredible dress I’m wearing. Lorna Andrews (or Lorna Luxe) arrived on my radar at around the time this happened. Lorna leapt to mine and Ben’s defence and I knew that was the kind of person in this industry that I wanted to be around. Not only is Lorna down to earth and kind, but she’s also an unbelievably talented tastemaker and designer. I’ve been supporting her collections with In The Style since the beginning because I genuinely love the clothes, but her latest collection is by far my favourite.
In an effort to be better to the planet, I’ve reduced the amount I buy. But still couldn’t resist three pieces that I know will be firm favourites in my wardrobe for a long time! This dress is definitely my favourite piece. Leather style tan fabric wrapped around the waist to form a beautiful button up pencil skirt shape. The top of the dress fits like a slightly loose shirt with puff shoulders and an oversized collar. All tied together with a matching belt, pulling in the waist.
I got slightly chilly, so stole Ben’s jacket which actually pulled the look together perfectly. As always I only threw a few accessories into the mix. These Giambatista Valli earrings were part of the amazing collaboration they did with H&M last year and were the only things I managed to get from the collection in the end. My trusty Zara mules and YSL handbag finished the outfit and it’s definitely one I’ll be repeating quite a few times in future!
