Detailed sleeves are one of my favourite design features. Prefering simpler patterns to fussy prints, a detailed sleeve can make an outfit eye-catching without being unflattering on most people. From Bell sleeves, to bow details and embellishments, there are so many ways to wear the trend this spring, so I’ve rounded up quite a few of my favourite items and popped them together into one easy to shop page for you.
While I’m on the subject, I did want to mention a couple of items that are a favourite in my spring wardrobe currently. This incredible coat from Asos (which so many of my friends have already bought and I know you guys will love too). I’ve never seen a coat more perfectly suited to spring with the beautiful checked lilacy pink and white print, the wide collar and of course those gorgeous bow detail sleeves. The coat is unlined, which is perfect for this time of year, it’s warm but not warm enough to go without a coat and not cool enough to have hundreds of layers. This is definitely a piece I’ll keep in my wardrobe for years to come!
Also, this top which I had sitting in my draws for such a long time over winter before the sun peaked through the clouds and it was appropriate to wear it! It’s so comfy and super simple to wear tucked into a skirt, over white jeans or with a pair of denim shorts! The sleeve length is also really flattering and I love the little ties, although you do need someone to help tie them! The top is from Romwe but is sadly sold out now, although they have so many more gorgeous options!
I’m obsessing over this dress from Joules at the moment. I bought it using a voucher I found buried in paperwork at the weekend and HAD to have it. The candy stripes, those gorgeous little capped bell sleeves and the soft knitted fabric just screamed spring pastels and It’s also such an easy piece to throw on with a pair of mules or espadrilles and a pretty coat for warmer spring days.
Detailed sleeves are such an easy way to make your outfit that bit more interesting this spring. How will you be wearing the trend?
