Something I always love to do when I travel is match my outfits to the place. St Lucia was no exception, I planned my outfits meticulously to match the Caribbean scenery and tropical climate. So, without further ado, I present my St Lucia Outfit Diaries.
Wedding Guest Outfit – the beautiful Jacques Vert Dress I wore to my lovely friend Jenny’s wedding. It was gorgeously breathable for the humid weather, but also wonderfully floaty for those swishy dances in the evening!
The Perfect ‘Everything’ Dress – That dress that you can throw on for any situation; Cocktails? Check. Beach? Check. Just swanning around in your room? Check. This dress has you covered for any situation!
The Dolce & Gabanna Dupe – My favourite dress find of the summer so far. As soon as I saw this in the window of HM, I knew it would be perfect for St Lucia. It was such a struggle trying not to wear it before our holiday!
Flattering Swimsuit – I’ve had this white swimsuit for a while now. I bought it for our Philippines holiday a few years ago and can’t seem to get rid of it. It’s unbelievably flattering and I feel like a movie star in it. Luckily, Asos do a different version every year in a load of different colours!
An Anniversary Outfit – The dress I wore on our one year anniversary. A blush pink, sequin, one shoulder beautiful maxi number made for special occasions! It made me feel like a princess!
Pink Sunset Number – A gorgeous little dinner date dress. It can be worn to a smart lunch in the day time or for those perfect sunset pictures like we did. I love the length of this dress and the pink colour. The sleeves are that extra stunning feminine touch!
Sailer Style – An off-the-shoulder off-white frilled sleeve top tucked into blue and white fitted striped trousers, set off with white wedges. Simple, elegant, feminine and so versatile. This top is my most-worn this summer already, it goes with everything!
A Vintage Find – remember I found this fabulous shop in Dublin? This was the dress I bought and I love it. It’s subtle and elegant, super feminine and perfect for those hot and busy market stalls. I also love the cut and the beautiful capped sleeves.
The wrap dress and mules – This tight striped dress (similar) was such a good find. Perfect on the beach slung over a bikini, in the day time worn exactly how I have or dressed up with a pair of heels and a clutch in the evening. I have had to put a few pins in it to stop it blowing open and revealing too much, but a lovely dress regardless!
The Throw-It-On Dress – this dress has had a lot of use this summer. I don’t have to wear a bra with it and can pop it on for most occasions, so it becomes the perfect dress that I don’t have to think about.
So there we have it! All my outfits from our fabulous trip. I would love to know if you decide to get any of these pieces!
