I don’t know about you, but the seasons have a huge impact on my mood. You’ll notice there haven’t been many outfit posts over the last few months, for the simple reason that I really don’t dress well in colder months. I’m not someone that does layers well. I just look shorter, puffier and swamped. If you’ve ever seen the Simpson’s winter episode’s with Maggie in her star thermals, that’s what I look like.
Now that spring is finally here, yes, we’ve been sipping cocktails on Aqua’s roof terrace sunglasses firmly perched on our noses, I can start to revamp my wardrobe with pieces I actually enjoy wearing. I’ve felt like changing my image slightly for a while and as I’m getting married this year (silent scream to myself) I feel like I need to sophisticate my style a little.
With a little help from the Missguided ranges and some new sunnies from Asos, I feel like I’m on my way!
I love this Zara skirt. Although a little too long for me (a pencil should really hit right below your knee to be most flattering) I still love this mock-leather skirt. It’s the perfect colour for spring and surprisingly light rather than heavy to ensure there’s no sweaty leather thighs!
Shall we talk about the shoes?! I love the detail in these caged, but elegant beauties. They’re quite comfortable to walk in because your whole foot is supported and laced in at the back. We had a day out with Joey from Joey London which pushed a whole different dynamic into these photos. Usually all my pictures are shot by Ben, so it was great to see another perspective through the lens.
All we need now is for the days to warm up a little, so I don’t freeze during these shoots.
