Today marks the start of a very special celebration, close to my heart. It’s Chocolate Week – something that I can definitely get behind and something I’d almost worship at the alter of.
I don’t know what I’d do without chocolate, it’s one of my major weaknesses and the one thing that stops me from reaching my Victoria’s Secret Model stardom (a girl can dream, right?) When I’m really craving, I normally pop to the shops to grab a hot chocolate. Whittard did me one better though and sent me a little selection to get me through the week, or next few months!
My absolute favourite, is their Luxury Hot Chocolate. I don’t want to be too controversial, but this is without doubt the best home made hot chocolate I’ve ever tasted. Mixed with milk, it’s super creamy and totally more-ish. The perfect Autumnal evening drink while you’re curled up, watching the leaves change from yellows to reds.
Strawberry Flavoured White Hot Chocolate – deliciously different. I’m not normally a fan of white chocolate, but this is yummy. The strawberry flavour keeps it from tasting too sickly and gives it a similar taste to a hot strawberry milkshake.
Next, Dark Chocolate Flavoured Black Tea. Something The Gentleman hasn’t been able to put down since it arrived. He has it most evenings. We don’t even have a tea strainer, but it doesn’t stop him holding the sieve over a mug and pouring the tea through.
As if the Strawberry White Hot Chocolate wasn’t decadent enough, Whittard went and made a Creme Brûlée White Hot Chocolate too. I have to admit I haven’t yet tried this one, but Creme Brûlée is one of my favourite puddings. Needless to say I’m very much looking forward to trying this one on a cold Winter’s day.
Lastly, a 38% Cocoa Milk Chocolate Spoon finished the pack, again I haven’t yet tried this one. I’m saving it for a special occasion. What that special occasion is, I am yet to know, but I’m sure it will be documented for good measure.
So my Chocolate Week is going to be spent drinking all of these delicious treats, while I welcome in Autumn. What will you be doing to celebrate?
