When I was younger, I hated sailing.
We would pile on down to the North Devon Yacht Club as a family, elbow to elbow, in our Red VW Caravelle with our wetsuits and trainers in plastic bags nestled on our laps. The rain would be hammering away at the windows and I would find myself staring out into the wet mist, imagining all the better things I could be doing with my time.
When it came down to the sailing part, we would climb into little Pico’s, three to one. You were guaranteed to get wet and probably capsize into the murky river at some point, before having to upright the boat and clamber back in.
As soon as I received my RYA level 2, I vowed that I would never set foot on a sail boat unless it was in a blisteringly hot country with a cocktail in my hand.
MDFV provided that opportunity to me, and let me live out my dreams of feeling like a rock star on a sail boat.
This gorgeous white Zara dress along with the fabulous rope wedges, was an outfit basically made to be worn on a yacht – don’t you think? (#FreeTheNipple)
Now, where can I get a cocktail around here?
