Silk French Manicure – Barry M

There are some nail varnishes that I constantly go back to, with the knowledge that they will be good quality, won’t chip and dry quickly.

The latter being one of the most important factors to me – we’re all busy ladies, no one can be bothered to wait hours for their nails to dry, am I right?

I treated myself to a bit of a haul in Boots at the weekend (I say a bit, I spent a days wages…) but, I really didn’t feel guilty about it!

In my haul I spied these beautiful Silk collection shades on the Barry M counter and knew they were perfect for the coming spring weather. They have the most gorgeous colours that look so girly.

I eventually settled on these two;

Silk Nail Effects in Blossom (sknp1) – this is the most gorgeous matte shade, almost in a baby pink with a glittery hue running all the way through the polish. This will be so perfect to wear throughout this season and into the next, especially with the new metallic gold trend.

Silk Nail Effects in Pearl (sknp2) – again, such a stunning colour. An almost off white shade that dries so beautifully into a matte pearl. The tiny flakes of glitter reflect the light to give it a luminescent quality.  It really is the most gorgeous colour.

I decided to create this gorgeous reverse French Manicure style effect, using both shades as I thought they were so beautiful together.  Obviously, my tips need a little practice, but it’s now Wednesday and as yet I’ve had no chips or bashes to the manicure.

I coated my manicure with the Barry M clear All in One Nail Paint, so unfortunately covered up the matte to the manicure. Even so, it still looks beautiful!

Have you tried the Silk collection from Barry M yet? Do you have any suggestions for fast drying nail polishes with gorgeous colours that you can recommend?
