The Teddy Coat

I’m not going to lie, when I pulled this coat out of the lovely white paper bag it had been sent to me in, I thought it was just a little bit ugly.

I don’t know why I feel so bad saying that either, I mean it’s just a coat, it doesn’t have feelings or anything?!

Maybe it’s because it’s called ‘The Teddy Coat‘* flashbacks of the film Ted come to mind and I feel as though the coat almost has a personality… Did anyone else used to think that their toys came to life every time they left the room (Have you seen A Little Princess)?!

I digress… It’s just a coat.

I very nearly put it back in the bag to send back. But that niggling feeling kept away at me.

Eventually I pulled it out of the bag, put each arm through the sleeves and pulled it up onto my shoulders. It was kinda’ cosy and warm and so deliciously fluffy. I just melted into a soft cloud of pink. It was like putting on a hug.

I couldn’t NOT write about this coat.

Everyone seems to be going mad for this design at the moment, so George at Asda thought they would jump on the band wagon and design their own Teddy Coat. I think they did a pretty good job!

It’s basically a quarter of the price of all the other Teddy Coats on the high street and The Gentleman doesn’t stop hugging me when I wear it!

I think too many layers with this, pads you out to look too bulky. No scarves needed, just a simple pair of zip jeans and a pair of fun shoes.

Teddy Coat – George at Asda // Trousers – H&M // Belt – Vintage // Shoes – Dune

!function(doc,s,id){ var e, p; if(!doc.getElementById(id)) { e = doc.createElement(s); = id; p = ‘//’; var cb = new Date().getTime(); p += ‘?cb=’ + cb; e.src = p; doc.body.appendChild(e); } if(typeof window.ss_shopsense === ‘object’){ if(doc.readyState === ‘complete’){ window.ss_shopsense.init(); } } }(document, ‘script’, ‘shopsensewidget-script’); The moral of the story folks?

Don’t judge a book by its cover.

I’m firmly on the Teddy Coat bandwagon.
