Whilst at Bloggers Fashion Week this year, one of the brands that stuck out to me was Leighton Denny, they very kindly gifted us some nail polishes – three mini and three normal size. The colours couldn’t have been more perfect for me;
I decided to test two of the shades and try out one of this season’s favourite techniques; the reverse manicure.
I used just the brushes of the small polishes for maximum control. First I applied a small triangle at the base of my nails using Crushed Grape, as close to my cuticles as I could. Using my (unpainted thumb nail – right hand) I scraped the triangle into a better shape, then left to dry, repeating on each finger.
I grabbed my mini pot of Paparazzi (I’m pretty sure it’s this one, but let me know if I’m wrong!) and used it to finish the manicure, taking extreme care not to ruin my triangles. Any overlap that occured, I cleaned up again using the Crushed Grape.
To finish, I used my favourite top coat, Barry M all-in-one nail paint.
I’ve now had this manicure on my nails for a week, and have not had one chip. I had a slight peel on one of my nails, from the base of my cuticle on my right hand, but the polish is still holding fast!
Have you tried Leighton Denny before, or any of the SS15’s Catwalk manicure styles?
