The Wedding Outfit

Getting ready for the Wedding was a mission. My mother and I had decided that it would be really nice if we all had breakfast outside in the sunshine on the Saturday morning, where of course the boys obliged. But, I wasn’t expecting for 11am to rush past and for me to still be in my PJ’s with hair scrumpled into a bun on top of my head.

We were supposed to be leaving at 12.50 and I still had to shower, wash my hair, shave, paint my nails, dry my hair, straighten my hair, do my make-up AND get dressed into a dress that didn’t even fit properly. What commenced was a flurry of dress fittings with my mum, running from the bathroom and back again trying not to forget anything. I failed massively, my mum was screaming at me, the Gentleman and I fell out, my brother was in hysterics at all of us and eventually (at 1.05pm) we were in the car and on our way.

Apart from one unfortunate dress incident, that left me covering my chest area with my shawl for the entire ceremony, it seemed to work.

The dress was from asos – I must remember that I’m a size smaller than I think I am (I guess that’s a good thing?!) Shoes were an old buy from last year (I genuinely can’t remember where I got them!) and the shawl was straight out of my Mothers’ wardrobe (thanks Muma!)
