Ever felt like you have everything and you’re still not happy? And then you’re sitting on your balcony in London and this is what you see…
This isn’t what you wanted to see is it? How’s this then?
Looks better doesn’t it? Yeah I thought so. Still, it could be a lot better.
The fact is, I’m bored. Bored of London, bored of life. I’m not ungrateful, I’m a lucky girl and have a life most people would dream of. But it doesn’t come without hard work.
I worked throughout school, (my £1 pocket money stopped when I was 10) I have been a personal shopper, sales assistant, waitress and I’ve robed students for their graduation ceremony (I didn’t know that you could be paid for that either).
Don’t get me wrong, I do without a shadow of doubt go by the saying ‘work hard, play hard’. But then somehow, whilst I was studying for my A levels, I managed to secure a job working as a PR Consultant in London. Two weeks after my last exam, I said goodbye to the quiet little countryside in Devon, goodbye to all my friends and family, and moved to the bright lights of the city of London.
Anyway, recently someone told me I take life too seriously, this person meant a lot to me so I took on board what they said. I thought about this statement and realised something.
1. I’m 20 years old with no ties.
2. I’ve been working my whole life, and living in London over a year.
3. I WANT TO BE FREEEEEEE!
So you know what I did?
I quit my job.
