Oh these tranisitonal seasons. The difficult temperatures where you don’t know quite what to wear because you’re not sure what the weather is going to be doing. One minute it’s torrential rain and you think there may be a flash flood, the next it’s bone dry and the sun is out warming everything up in seconds.
It’s actually one of my favourite times of year. I quite like the cold, crisp mornings with the beautiful blue skies and the colour palette that comes with the promise of autumn and the warmth it brings.
Khaki green has always been a firm favourite and the highstreet is currently producing some amazing pieces in the colour.
Most notably this khaki green jumpsuit from Closet London – a brand that has been a fairly recent discovery of mine, but of which there are very few pieces I wouldn’t adore for my wardrobe.
This piece in particular is going to get a lot of wear over the next few months. The longer sleeves, cropped legs, deep v and wrap belt create a statement piece with an understated edge to it. Easy to dress up paired with some stiletto heels and a clutch, or worn for day with a handbag and pair of mules. Plus, I mean, this colour. Anything in autumn colours (think anything in the changing colour of the leaves) I adore at this time of year. It all just looks so stunning in the glow from the sun as it starts to get lower in the sky.
I’m currently wearing it with these brown Zara wedges as the sunshine hasn’t quite left us. It’s my ‘tip of the hat’ to the end of summer and the warmth that I’m just not-quite-ready to let go of.
Super comfortable, I didn’t at all feel out of place in the middle of the Devon countryside, but equally would wear this for a day out in London.
I think I should offer an apology now, in advance, for the amount of times you’re going to see me wearing this over the next few months!
