Mews of Mayfair

Unplanned lunches are my favourite kind. You wander along the streets aimlessly chatting and conversing, before your stomach naturally takes you to a settled state where you stop at the nearest restaurant you come to.

Luckily for us, that nearest stop happened to be Mews of Mayfair where we decided on an outdoor table in the courtyard, wrapped in their lovely blankets to keep cosy in the cool air of the day.

He started with a cappuccino, while I sampled a cocktail;

I had a delicious Lychee Martini, light and full of sweet flavour, while we perused the menu to make our choices.

Eventually, we settled on the steak and kidney pie with Cauliflower cheese. Pork Belly with Caramelised winter vegetables, rocket salad and creamed spinach.

Everything was so delicious, but on reflection I would have got an extra side of the caramelised vegetables as they were THAT good.

Obviously, because this is me, I couldn’t NOT have a pudding. Especially as there was sticky toffee pudding on the menu with a delicious ice-cream to accompany.

Mews of Mayfair is an all-weather little London Gem, surrounded by other fabulous eateries and drinking holes. I would definitely head back, as they have numerous different rooms serving slightly different menus complete with different vibes. The menus are also seasonal, so there’s always something new to try!

What are your plans for the weekend, any lovely restaurants in the diary to try?
